Key West Bonefish

Today I fished with good friend and client of a few years now Dan O'Mally and his son-in-law Charlie from Massachusetts.  Dan loves to fly fish for permit and that is our goal every trip.  Today Dan had a few shots but some the fish spooked before Dan made a cast or he had going away shots.  In one of the areas we fished I was looking for the big schools of bonefish that reside.  Only one small school of bonefish showed up and Dan was up to the task landing the crab fly amongst the school and a nice six pound bonefish grabbed his fly.  A little while later Charlie caught a smaller four pound bonefish, a nice barracuda and jack on spin tackle.

The weather was beautiful today with about a 10 - 15 mph southeast breeze, sunny skies and temperature around 75 degrees.
